AC Milan’s new midfielder Yussuf Fofana is delighted after completing his move to San Siro.
Negotiations between Milan and Monaco lasted for weeks, with West Ham stepping in and offering a higher figure, but in the end, Milan agreed to pay €23m plus €2m in add-ons to secure his signature.
“When a club comes to you and shows you really want you, that has some influence on the decision,” Fofana told a joint press conference with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“Milan are well know in France, they always bring a project for the future and everything fell into place. I considered the idea of coming to Milan last summer and then decided to stay at Monaco with the new project they showed me.”
“In the end, everyone wins this way ยูฟ่าเบท. I told the club that I want to start a new adventure.”
Asked if he feared the move would fall through after talks stall, Fofana said: “No, I’m not scare. I’m just impatient. The season starts tonight and I want to play for Milan.”
“People say that waiting makes the desire higher and I’m happy to be here with everyone. I showed a lot of patience. They called and asked me to be patient and now I’m here.”
